- Open your streaming app. Sign in to the broadcaster separately and open the event or title. Your VPN subscription does not include a TV subscription, sports pass or pay-per-view purchase.
What devices can play Prime Video on a TV?
Prime Video is available in the Prime Video app on selected smart TVs. Amazon also says you can stream titles on compatible Internet-connected TVs, Blu-ray players, and set-top boxes.
Amazon says supported features differ depending on the specific TV model, and device compatibility may vary by location. Its help pages also point you to the Compatible Devices page for the website you use to access Prime Video.
How do you find Prime Video on Fire TV?
Amazon says you can access Prime Video content from the home screen, through Search, or from the Prime Video app.
Search results on Fire TV can show Prime Video as well as other supported providers. Amazon also says you can cast Prime Video content to your Fire TV using a mobile device.
- Open Prime Video from the Fire TV home screen.
- If you want a specific title, go to Find and then Search.
- If your remote has an Alexa Voice button, use voice search.
- Open the Prime Video app to access videos included with your Amazon Prime or Prime Video membership.
Why should you check the title type first?
Amazon’s usage rules say restrictions depend on how you access a title. On Prime Video, that can mean a purchase, rental, Prime or Prime Video subscription title, third-party add-on subscription, free title, or pay-per-view title.
That affects things like download availability, how long you have to watch, and how many devices can play the same title at once.
- Open the title page before you press play.
- Check whether the title is included with Prime or Prime Video, a rental or purchase, part of a third-party add-on subscription, free, or pay-per-view.
- On Fire TV, a result marked Watch Now with Prime is included with Prime Video.
- If a title is free as part of a promotion or with advertisements, Amazon says it is only available for online streaming on compatible devices and is not available for download.
What are the main viewing limits?
Amazon says you may stream up to three videos at the same time using the same Amazon account. For the same title, purchased videos and Prime or Prime Video subscription titles can be limited to two devices at once, while rental titles and free titles are limited to one device at a time. Amazon also says some third-party add-on subscriptions and most third-party pay-per-view titles may limit the same title to one device at a time.
For rental videos, Amazon says you will typically have 30 days from payment to start watching and 48 hours to finish once you begin. For purchased videos, Amazon says the viewing period is indefinite. For pay-per-view videos, Amazon says access lasts until at least 24 hours after the initial exhibition ends. Amazon also says restrictions on the number of devices you can use to stream Prime Video may vary from region to region.
Find Prime Video on Google TV
Search for the app on your Google TV before subscribing. Availability depends on the app and device; these steps apply when its store page is available.
- Press the Assistant button on the remote, or choose Search on the home screen.
- Search for Prime Video. If its app page appears, open it and select Install.
