- Choose a location and connect. Select a server in the country you want to connect through. Wait until IPVanish confirms the connection.
- Open your streaming app. Sign in to the broadcaster separately and open the event or title. Your VPN subscription does not include a TV subscription, sports pass or pay-per-view purchase.
Which TV platforms did Disney+ name at launch?
Disney+ described itself at launch as available on any internet-connected screen.
For TV viewing, the launch announcement named Amazon Fire TV devices and Fire TV Edition Smart TVs, Apple TV, Android TV devices, Google Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices, LG Smart TVs with webOS, Xbox One, Samsung Smart TVs, all Android based Sony TVs, PlayStation 4, Roku streaming players and Roku TV models.
How could you get Disney+ on those TV platforms?
Disney said subscribers could sign up directly at DisneyPlus.com. The same announcement said in-app purchase was also available on partner platforms and devices, but only where that option was offered in a given country.
- Check whether your TV or streaming platform matches one of the launch-era device categories Disney named.
- Subscribe at DisneyPlus.com, or use in-app purchase on a partner platform if that option is offered in your country.
- Open the Disney+ app on that supported platform to start watching on your TV.
What does the launch announcement say for GB, US, CA and AU?
This source comes from Disney+’s initial 2019 rollout and says the service had launched in the U.S., Canada, and The Netherlands.
In the same announcement, Disney said Australia, New Zealand, and Puerto Rico would follow on November 19, and that markets across Western Europe, including the UK, would follow on March 31, 2020.
That means this device list is most useful as launch-era context, not as a live country-by-country availability check.

Find Disney+ on Google TV
Search for the app on your Google TV before subscribing. Availability depends on the app and device; these steps apply when its store page is available.
- Press the Assistant button on the remote, or choose Search on the home screen.
- Search for Disney+. If its app page appears, open it and select Install.
Sign in to Disney+ on Roku
Roku documents the same Disney+ sign-in process for subscriptions bought through Roku or directly from Disney+.
- Open the Disney+ app on the Roku home screen.
- Sign in with the username and password created when you subscribed. Ask Disney+ for help with forgotten credentials.
