How to set up IPVanish for streaming
  1. Check your viewing option. Choose the broadcaster and plan for your event or title from the viewing options above.
  2. Install and sign in. Choose your IPVanish plan, then install the IPVanish app from your device’s app store and sign in. Our Android TV setup guide explains the steps for compatible TV boxes.
  3. Choose a location and connect. Select a server in the country you want to connect through. Wait until IPVanish confirms the connection.
  4. Open your streaming app. Sign in to the broadcaster separately and open the event or title. Your VPN subscription does not include a TV subscription, sports pass or pay-per-view purchase.

Set up IPVanish on Android

Use the official Android app and your IPVanish account. The app lets you choose a server location before connecting.

  1. Download IPVanish from Google Play, then open it and sign in.
  2. Select your server location and tap Connect.

Check the app requirements first

Compare the Android version installed on your device with the operating-system requirement in IPVanish’s official Android setup page. An old TV box may need different support from a current phone.

  1. Find the Android version in your device information and record its model name.
  2. Check the official IPVanish Android requirements before installing the app.

Install IPVanish on Windows

Use the official Windows app with an IPVanish account. The setup page provides the download and a choice between an automatically selected server and a location you choose.

  1. Create or sign in to your IPVanish account and download the official Windows app.
  2. Open the installed app, sign in and connect using the suggested server or a location from the list.

Choose the connection controls you need

IPVanish describes a Windows kill switch, automatic startup and a default-location option. These are connection controls, not evidence that a particular streaming service will work.

  1. Review the kill-switch setting and whether you want the app to connect automatically at startup.
  2. Choose the default location or select a server manually, then check the connection status in the app.
